L'un des plus beaux parcours de la Côte d'Azur à Terre Blanche

Between mountains, hills, and azure reflections, the Côte d'Azur isn't just a playground for artists and jet-setters. It's also home to some of Europe's most beautiful golf courses, in enchanting settings where lifestyle is never far from the fairway. For a long weekend or a hedonistic getaway, here are five destinations to savor with a club in hand and a glass of rosé within reach.

Terre Blanche Golf & Spa Resort (Tourrettes)

The most complete – Luxury, sport & serenity in the heart of nature

Two championship courses, a 3,200 m² spa, exceptionally comfortable villa suites, and gourmet cuisine: Terre Blanche is a destination apart. People come here to perform on Le Château, admire the view of the hilltop villages from Le Riou, and then relax in the hammam or by the infinity pool.

Not to be missed:

  • The Condé Nast Traveler award-winning spa

  • The Michelin-starred Le Faventia restaurant

  • A trip to the medieval villages of Fayence or Callian

Where to sleep:

On site, in one of the resort's Provençal-style suites.

Additional experience: Golf Academy with high-tech driving range and custom fitting.

Royal Mougins Golf Resort (Mougins)

The most confidential – A chic cocoon at the gates of Cannes

This is the place for those in the know. A challenging 18-hole course designed by Robert von Hagge, nestled in a tranquil valley, with the scent of pine and eucalyptus as a backdrop. The resort is a boutique hotel: a cozy atmosphere, a restaurant overlooking the greens, and relaxing spa treatments.

Not to be missed:

  • The award-winning Cinq Mondes spa

  • The village of Mougins, a paradise for artists and gastronomy

  • A getaway to the Forville market in Cannes, 15 minutes away

Where to sleep:

In a suite at the Royal Mougins Hotel & Spa, with a private terrace overlooking the golf course.

Additional experience: Golf & meditation initiation as a duo with a private coach.

Saint-Tropez Golf Club (Gassin)

The most exclusive – Golf and dolce vita in Riviera style

Designed by Gary Player, this very private course stretches along the hillside in a secure estate overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Here, there's no ostentatious pomp, but discreet luxury, a refined clubhouse, and a loyal clientele. Ideal for those who want to mix green time in the morning with beach time in the afternoon.

Not to be missed:

  • Lunch at Club 55 or at the golf course's Mediterranean restaurant

  • The galleries of Ramatuelle and the alleys of Gassin

  • Sunset from the terrace of hole number 9

Where to sleep:

Villa Marie or Château de la Messardière, two Relais & Châteaux gems.

Extra experience: Private boat transfer to Pampelonne or Porquerolles.

Golf from Cannes-Mougins (Valbonne)

The most classic – Tradition, precision and French elegance

A historic address frequented by golf legends, the Cannes-Mougins course is a must for purists. A technical, peaceful, and superbly maintained course, it's perfect for lovers of the pure game. The surrounding area offers cultural and gourmet attractions: from Valbonne to Grasse, everything invites you to take a stroll.

Not to be missed:

  • A sensory stroll in the gardens of the Fragonard perfumery

  • The Valbonne market and the Antibes flea markets

  • Gourmet dinner at Mas Candille, just minutes away

Where to sleep:

At La Bastide de Valbonne or at Le Mas Candille (Mougins).

Additional experience: Personalized perfume workshop in Grasse, late afternoon.

Roquebrune Resort Golf Course (Roquebrune-sur-Argens)

The most panoramic – Sea view & salty swing

A spectacular course nestled between the sea and the mountains, the Roquebrune Golf Course offers one of the most beautiful views in the region. The holes unfold in a stunning Mediterranean setting, with rock-cut doglegs and suspended greens. All this within a modern resort with a spa and refined cuisine.

Not to be missed:

  • Hole No. 14 and its view of the Bay of Fréjus

  • La Table de Louis, a Michelin star

  • A getaway in the Esterel massif, between red trails and wild coves

Where to sleep:

In the elegant rooms of the Daya Hotel & Spa, on the grounds.

Additional experience: Hot air balloon or helicopter flight from the nearby airfield.

Practical information

When to go? From April to June and from September to October, to avoid the summer crowds.

Equipment & Materials: Most resorts offer high-end club rental, fitting, driving range with simulators and lessons in English/French.

Access: Nice (NCE), Toulon-Hyères (TLN), or Marseille (MRS) airports for journeys further west. Private transfers are available from all partner hotels.

The Côte d'Azur, golf style, is an experience to be savored at the rhythm of the South. From the precision of your swing to the sound of ice cubes at sunset, every moment becomes a luxury and pleasure. It's up to you to choose your green.
